Security Department
The Department of Social Security is responsible for maintaining order, enforcing laws, keeping citizens safe and assigning names to citizens. Due to the peaceful nature of citizens, it rarely has to act, law enforcement wise.
Duties
- Patrolling public areas and responding to threats
- Keeping all of the Plains safe
- Assigning names to citizens when they're able to speak
Defense
The SSD defends the country by hosting various self-defense programs where citizens can learn how to defend themselves against an aggresor.
Name Handling
Since Peaceatians spawn in, they don't get a predetermined name. Instead, the SSD sends out someone to go and name the baby themselves. The SSD has a public database of every single name in Peaceat that is set in place to ensure that every single name is unique.
Creation
The department was created in an effort to streamline every-day security and defense by having citizens be able to serve their country as a police officer.
