Basic Necessities Department

The Basic Necessities Department is a government department tasked with ensuring public needs are met by setting up and maintaining communal houses, schools and other buildings as well as public amenities like benches or trashcans.

Building

While citizens are allowed to build buildings, the department goes around and makes sure there's enough houses (and other buildings such as schools) to support the population. Based on this information, they'll either start construction on more houses or leave it as-is.

Programs

The department has recently started taking the initiative to survey and better engage with the general population in order to assess the needs of citizens

Creation

The department was created by the Aristocracy in an effort to expand the small government and streamline more rudimentary jobs to the people by giving them their own department they could work in. In the case of the Basic Necessities Department, it was created so that citizens would need to oversee less of their own needs and make their experience at the Plain more enjoyable.
