National Bank
The National Bank is the authority responsible for Peaceat's financial system. Since Peaceat doesn't have any sort of currency, the bank handles the safekeeping and distribution of Peaceat's national resources. The bank's resources are built by either citizens who deliberately search for things to bring back or voluntary donations. At the bank, citizens can make either a donation or take out a loan where they give/ask for a specific resource. The bank is held up by treasury workers who work there voluntarily. Small amounts of its resources are sometimes used to build public projects.
Resources
The bank mainly handles basic equipment for everyday life (axes, shovels), textiles, wine and building materials.
Policies
- Citizens who have previously loaned something cannot take out another loan until they pay back either with the same amount of resources they loaned or a similar compensation, citizens will be barred from loaning until they've paid what they're owed.
- Loans aren't time sensitive, this means interest doesn't build up over time as the longer you wait to pay your loan back
- There isn't a specified limit as to how much you can loan, but the bank will start to question your intentions if you try to borrow Peaceat's entire communal wine supply
History
As more and more citizens started to further mature (and eventually reach their age of maturity), Amelia thought it would be a good idea to set up an institution where citizens could create a public pool of resources and take from it whenever they needed to. See more here
